The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
Learn the facts, principles and concepts needed for diving. You can complete much of the “classroom” work of the Open Water Diver course at your own pace — anytime, anywhere. Choose one of the options below:
In a pool or a confined water area, you will learn and master many different dive skills and techniques. The number and length of classes can vary based on your schedule and comfort level in the water. You can choose from one of the options below:
This final portion of the certification includes four dives in an open water setting (such as a scuba park or ocean) and is done over the course of at least two days. In these four dives, you will demonstrate mastery of the skills learned in the pool in an open water setting. You can choose from one of the three options below:

To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must be:
The fun part about this course is...well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you'll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you'll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear including a dive computer and standard accessories. You will need to bring your own swimsuit, towel, mask, fins, snorkel and dive booties. We'll provide everything else.
Below, you will find the paperwork necessary to begin this course. Please either drop off or email us completed copies as soon as possible. We will need to review this prior to the start of your class.
New Diver Orientation: Free! (You will need to attend a New Diver Orientation sometime before your class meets. These are every Saturday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the shop. Please RSVP in advance.)
