Seminar: The Physiology of Extreme DivingThe Physiology of Extreme Diving: The Science and Technology of Pushing the Human Body to the Limits

Why do recreational divers have a limit of 130 feet? What is the deepest a diver has ever been on scuba? How deep can a human actually dive? Georgetown University professor of physiology and Blue Planet Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Staff Instructor, Ryan Downey, will lead an interactive seminar discussion where we take a look at how humans have pushed scuba diving to the extreme limits of human physiology and technological innovation. We’ll also talk about how pushing these limits have changed the way that recreational divers approach scuba. Bring your questions for the Q&A!
