River tubing in Harpers FerryWe’re planning to do the “All Terrain Tubing Combo.” Enjoy the best of both tubing worlds with this combination, White Water AND Flat Water Tubing, all in one day! Arrive for the first departure and head out for the Flat Water trip first. After you’ve warmed up and got your river legs on the ‘Doah’, we’ll bring you back to headquarters to re-group and perhaps grab a bite to eat. With bellies full, and river legs on, we’ll head down to the river for the white water part of your day, where you’ll splash down the ‘Mac’ and through Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Your All Terrain experience also includes a comfortable ride on one of our ATV’s to bring you back up the mountain at the end of your trip. Minimum age for this is 12 years old.

This is like a ski lift pass — one price lets you go on as many tube runs as you can handle. We’ll plan to meet at the Adventure Center at 11:00 AM and then hit the river. We can grab lunch at their snack shack between runs, or bring your own. The last run leaves at 4:00 PM, so if you plan to stay all day, you’ll be heading home around 6:00 PM.

Transportation: Plan for it to take about 1.5 hours to get there from the DC area via car. Need a ride? Let us know and we can try to set up carpooling — or comment on the Facebook event page.

What to wear? Whatever you don’t mind getting wet! Bring an extra change of clothes/shoes and a towel to change into afterwards. Also you should not take your camera or cell phone on any river trip unless you pack it in an approved waterproof container. GoPro, anyone?? River sandals (attached to your feet, no flip flops) or old sneakers make ideal footwear.
