Underwater photographers

Learn the secrets to better photos underwater!

The PADI Digital Underwater Photographer course is a two-part (Level One and Level Two) introduction to digital underwater photography centered around today’s point-and-shoot digital cameras. The course helps you develop the knowledge, skills and practical techniques necessary to obtain excellent photographs with a digital camera, even on your first photo dive. And you don’t have to be an experienced diver to do it; snorkelers and new divers can take the course, too!

In Level One, you’ll learn what equipment you need to take great underwater photographs, how to prepare your underwater photo system, and basic underwater photo techniques while diving in an environmentally friendly manner. Level One training is open to snorkelers, Open Water Diver students, and certified divers and consists of a classroom session followed by a pool session.

This class will meet on the following dates:

  • Classroom: Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 PM @ the shop
  • Confined water practice: Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM @ Gallaudet University MSSD Pool, near the NoMa-Gallaudet U (New York Ave) Metro Station on the Red Line
  • Want to complete Level 2? Join us for open water dives @ Lake Phoenix or Dutch Springs!
